I've had authentic Ethiopian in Chicago but this is amazing. It has a basic family feel but the hut seating is an awesome spot for tea and coffee.
I’ve had a lot of Ethiopian food in the US from Boston and New York to San Francisco and the food here is among the best. Got the sega wat and yebeg tibs and the meat was incredibly tender.
AUTHENTIC African- Ethiopian food. I was not disappointed from the many choices as a matter fact, it was so good for lunch. I had to go back for dinner. They also do takeout! Hours vary so check before you go!
1st time eating Ethopian food. Quite an experience. Although English is not their first language, we were able to receive some guidance on what to order. Thankfully, we had a friend with us who was very knowledgeable about Ethopian food. The food is served "family" style, using a type of bread as your utensil. Some of the food will have heat to it, while others not. Friendly and fast. The beef tips were awesome, as was the spinach, potato and leafy veggie dishes.
Just. Delicious. I really enjoyed the Awaze tibs - (Lamb and onions sauteed in a tasty Awaze red sauce ) it came with a few sides that really enhanced the flavor! Delicious! The food is so flavorful and so comforting. Just hit the spot when you are craving something that makes you feel at home, flavorful and delicious. somethings are spicy, and some things are not spicy, If you weren’t sure what to get ask for a recommendation!
